Police carry out preventive actions in the capital

Active works are being conducted on anti-sanitary, traffic safety on roads, especially, parking cars in unspecified areas – on pavements, pedestrian crossings and compliance with the special quarantine regime rules declared in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to prevention of law violations, street trading, vagrancy and beggary at the events covering all districts of Baku city.


At the subsequent events conducted by police officers on April 2, location of 26 people wanted due to committing different-type crimes and they were detained, 118 people doing street trading, 53 people living a vagrant and beggar life, as well as petty hooliganisms, petty theft, anti-sanitary and other socially negative cases were found out and preventive measures were taken. 1483 facts were recorded on the violation of the special quarantine regime rules declared in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, 12 of such people were active infection carriers who left the address where they were treated.

Furthermore, protocols were drawn up on administrative offences about total 3223 people, who violated traffic rules, including 169 drivers, who committed gross violations according to the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Offences (CAO), 116 vehicles in which polyphonic audio signals, silencers, flashing lights and other extra devices restricted by law were installed, as well as whose constructions were modified, 52 drivers who drove cars under the influence of alcohol and 1 reckless driver were identified.  

Exemplary arrangement and control of service, reliable protection of public order and legal interests of citizens from illegal acts are kept under the control of officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and appropriate measures are being carried on by them.
