Operational meeting has been held in the video-conference format in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan dedicated to maintaining public order during the international sports events Formula-1 and the 4 matches of the European Football Championship to be held in Baku and upcoming tasks in ensuring public safety on May 26. Opening the meeting with his introductory word, the Minister, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov took notice of the fact Azerbaijan has hosted many sport contests in recent years and bodies of internal affairs have gained a great deal of experience on ensuring public safety and order in such events.

The Minister presenting the importance of high-level performance of police officers and servicemen of the Internal Troops, who will serve in a reinforced regime during the international sports events to be held in June-July this year, addressed that this year contests coincided with pandemic and in this regard they will be organized within limitations.
The Minister Vilayat Eyvazov gave his demands and recommendations on ensuring safety of participants, fans and visitors during the games to be held, maintaining public order in venue and surrounding areas, strengthening safety in the fan’s meeting places of the city.
