Minister V. Eyvazov: “The Ministries of Internal Affairs of both countries have an effective partnership”

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic, Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov received the delegation led by Pakistani Army Chief of Staff of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, General Qamar Javed Bajwa visiting our country on June 22.

Greeting a guest, the Minister emphasized that satisfaction of the relations between the two strategic allies have a rich history and deep roots, and that the great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev have always paid attention to building these relations on solid foundations.    

Considering the availability of bilateral relations based on effective partnership between both Ministries of Internal Affairs, Minister V. Eyvazov stressed that combined efforts on fighting against transnational organized criminality, especially illegal drug turnover and human trafficking are being taken based on signed international legal documents and operational information are being exchanged. “Partnership relations between law enforcement agencies are built successfully pursuant to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) and relations established between Internal Troops of the MIA and Global Industrial & Defence Solutions of Pakistan are being successfully continued” – he also added.

Thanking for the warm welcome and detailed information, General Qamar Javed Bajwa noted that the friendly and fraternal relations between our countries and peoples have deep roots, and expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of relations in all areas, stability and peace in our country.
They discussed several issues concerning to the parties at the meeting held with sincerity and friendship conditions.
