1 ton 737 kilograms of various drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors withdrawn from illegal circulation by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other law-enforcement agencies and confiscated by court decisions were destroyed organized by the permanently operating Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking on May 19 and 20 of the current year in the territory of the machine-building plant named after Bunyad Sardarov in Binagadi district.

Representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the State Security Service, the State Customs Committee, the State Border Service and the Working Group of the State Commission, which are members of the Commission for the Destruction of Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors representatives participated in the destruction process of drugs.
In total, more than 1 ton 737 kilograms of 591 various drugs and psychotropic substances on which destruction was decided by the court verdict - 909 kg 985 gr heroin, 516 kg 281 gr marijuana, 240 kg 285 gr opium, 27 kg 473 gr hashish, 1 kg 944 gr. cocaine, 40 kg 312 gr -18272 psychotropic substances, including 21190 hemp plants were burned.
