16 people involved in drug trafficking were detained

As a result of investigative-operational measures taken by Sabunchu District Police Department, 16 people involved in drug trafficking were detained in Zabrat, Bilgah, Bakikhanov, Balakhani and other settlements of the district.
During the operation, Arzu Aliyev, who was suspected of selling drugs, was initially detained and brought to the 15th Police Office of Sabunchu District Police Department. During a body search, 1 kilogram 50 grams of heroin was found on him. In his testimony, the detainee said that he was mainly engaged in drug trafficking in Zabrat, Balakhani Bilgah and other settlements of the district. Arzu Aliyev said he bought the drugs online from a drug dealer living in a foreign country.
In addition, during another operation conducted by officers of the 15th Police Office of Sabunchu District Police Department, Elkhan Zeynalabdinov and his son Farid, residents of the capital and engaged in drug trafficking, were detained in Zabrat settlement. They found 11 packages of heroin with a total weight of 15 grams, 14 packages of psychotropic substance methamphetamine and 71 grams of marijuana in 28 match boxes for sale. In their testimonies, Elkhan and Farid Zeynalabdinov admitted that they were engaged in drug trafficking in the villages and settlements of Sabunchu district.
During other operations carried out by officers of Sabunchu District Police Department, 13 more people involved in drug trafficking in the district - Ilgar Hasanov, Mahir Aliyev, Famil Azimov, Fazil Gadimov, Kazim Orujov, Zamin Sadigzada, Malik Mammadov, Taryel Salimov, Rajab Baghirov, Elchin Aliyev, Nadir Karimov, Irana Guliyeva and Laman Abdullayeva were detained.
Large amounts of heroin and methamphetamine were found and seized from them as well. In their testimonies, these persons admitted that they were involved in drug trafficking.
Sabunchu District Police Department has launched investigations on the facts. The above-mentioned persons have been detained and investigations are underway. At present, investigative-operational measures are being taken by Sabunchu District Police Department officers to seize drugs.
