On June 7, during the “2022 Formula-1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix” to be held in Baku, the Ministry of Internal Affairs held a video conference in the format of a conference dedicated to the organization of public order protection and the forthcoming tasks.
Minister, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov opened the meeting with introductory speech and noted that Azerbaijan has hosted many prestigious sports competitions in recent years, and the internal affairs bodies have gained great experience in the field of provision of public security and public order in such events.
The minister brought to the attention the importance of high level performance of the police officers and servicemen of Internal Troops to serve in enhanced working mode on the eve and during the “2022 Formula-1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix” competition to be held on June 10-12 and made recommendations and demands on ensuring the safety of participants, fans, visitors to the country and representatives of foreign media, maintaining public order in the areas where the competition is held and surrounding areas, strengthening security at checkpoints, as well as ensuring favorable conditions for people to move smoothly, without hindrance.
