As a result of the continuation of investigative and operational measures by the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service to solve crimes that remained unsolved in previous years, another serious crime committed under mysterious circumstances was revealed.
Thus, on November 18, 2010, although a criminal investigation was launched at Yasamal District Prosecutor’s Office about the death of Gurbat Abzarov, a resident of the capital, 8 days later in the hospital where he was diagnosed with a brain injury, the proceedings were suspended due to the impossibility of identifying the perpetrator. However, the criminal case was found out again and the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office was instructed to continue the investigation. Gurbat Abzarov died at the hospital where he was being treated.
