According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the candidates for the positions of senior lecturer and lecturer of the department on the theory of state and law, criminal law, civil law, criminal procedure, criminology, administrative activity of law enforcement bodies, operational and investigative activity of law enforcement bodies should have a master's degree in Law teaching of the state higher education institutions.

Candidates for the positions of senior lecturer and lecturer of the department on language training should have a master's degree in English language of the state higher education institutions, the candidates for the position of lecturer of the military department should be graduates of military education institutions or the state higher education institutions in military specialty.

Candidates for the position of lecturer of special equipment in the internal affairs bodies should have a master's degree in technical areas of the state higher education institutions, able to work on the computer perfectly. Candidates for the position of senior lecturer of the department of physical training should have a master's degree in sports of the state higher education institutions, the category of fighting and coaching experience. Candidates for the position of lecturer of the department of management organization of internal affairs bodies should have a master's degree in mathematics and computer mathematics, computer science and computer engineering of the state higher education institutions.

The candidates for the positions of software engineer and electronic engineer of the department of management organization in the internal affairs bodies are required to have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer mathematics, mathematics, computer science and computer engineering of the state higher education institutions, work experience in "Java", "C ++" and "Delphy" programming language, as well as the possession of knowledge about the principles of database management systems "Oracle" and "MS SQL". The candidates for the position of electronic engineer are also required to have knowledge and experience in the service and current repair of computers.

Candidates for the positions of scientific secretary and research assistant of the research and publishing department should have an academic degree in law and be graduates of the state higher education institutions. Candidates for the position of librarian should have a bachelor's or master's degree in library science and philology of the state higher education institutions.

The competition is open for Azerbaijani citizens aged from 20 to 30 years, 165 cm and taller (for women 160 cm and taller), meeting the requirements of the "Rules of service in law-enforcement bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan".

Documents, knowledge and skills of candidates, meeting the conditions of the competition, will be collected after the test of the Competition Committee. During the competition the persons with academic degree will be given preference. Health status and physical aptitude of candidates who have successfully passed the competition, will be tested according to the standards established for law enforcement officers.

People who would like to take part in the competition on any day from February 21 to March 18 (except holidays) from 10.00 to 18.00 hours, should apply to the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Baku, Shuvalan settlement, 3 A.Ildirim street), and submit an ID card, the original document on higher education, military registration card, work book (if available).

The winners will be included in the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with conferment of the corresponding special title and they will be given the right to enjoy the privileges of the employees of law enforcement bodies in the manner prescribed by law.

Employees of the internal affairs bodies shall be granted such additional benefits as accruing allowance in the amount of monthly salary when leaving on vacation and in connection with the treatment once a year, the compensation to the employee and each member of his/her family for the use of rented living space, provision of free health care to the employee and his/her family members in the Republican Hospital of the Medical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, clinics, an advantage of 75 percent for employees and 50 per cent for the members of his/her family of the cost of voucher to "Xəzri" Recreation and Health Centre under the ministry, also free use of intercity public transport during the service. 

The service positions of the hired persons on the basis of the competition will not be changed to other positions of the police service in the future.
