Afterwards, the Minister of Internal Affairs made a speech in front of the personnel, and congratulated them on the occasion of the opening of new Judo hall. He emphasized that the support by the honorable head of state, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev to the growth of sport and Olympic Movement in the country, and the large-scale events held under his leadership stand on the foundation of this significant event, and with pleasure brought to the attention that in recent years more than 40 high-level sports facilities and Olympic Sports Centres have been built and commissioned in the cities and regions of the Republic including the capital as its result.

The minister particularly noted that being held of prestigious international competitions such as European and Islamic Solidarity Games, Formula-1 Baku Grand Prix races, World Chess Olympiad in our Republic thanks to the high attention and support of the first Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, is a definite evidence of our country’s potential contributing to multiculturalism and dialogue among civilizations.  It was also mentioned that, another important factor in achieving success in the field of sport in our country is operating as a single team of the state authorities, various sports federations, communities and clubs, and particularly National Olympic Committee responsible for improvement and becoming popular of physical training.

Expressing his deep gratitude to the Head of State, President of National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev on behalf of the entire personnel for his attention and care demonstrated to the development of the internal affairs bodies, strengthening of material and technical base, improvement of the serving conditions of the staff, the Colonel-general Ramil Usubov stated his assurance that the police officers will be more determined and decisive in protection of public order, and in fight against criminality by enhancing their competence in new sport complex.
