Prophylactic measures are continued

04.10.2018

Measures are continued in the direction of provision of traffic safety of traffic participants, prevention of artificial congestion, slowdowns and traffic jams on roads in Baku. According to the Public Relations Department of Baku city MPD State Traffic Police Department, taking into account the beginning of the new academic year, the intensity of traffic in streets and avenues adjacent to secondary and higher education institutions, safety of traffic participants is in the centre of attention. For this purpose, additional warrants are involved by us at the peak hours of the day to regulate the traffic in the areas where congestion is observed - on the crossroads and pedestrian crossings.

Regular raids are carried out in the areas where secondary schools are located, or near the underground and overground pedestrian crossings located close to them, crossing strips for pedestrians, prophylactic work is carried out to prevent pedestrian traffic in places where prohibited. At the same time, measures against the drivers exceeding the speed limit, crossing the crossroads and breaking the overtaking rules and drunk driving the cars are kept in focus.

The research and analyzes conducted by us show that ignorant approach to the requirements of “brakeage-stop”, “parking” rules is the main reason of artificial congestion, slowdowns, and the cases creating traffic jams among the administrative errors. Each traffic participant, especially the drivers, must take into account that this ignorance, indifference creates the artificial congestion, slowdown and traffic jam in the roads. Removal of these cases is not only the right and duty of each of us, but also the public and social responsibility. Each traffic participant - the driver, the pedestrian must respect the interests of other people on the roads, protected by law.
