Awareness raising measures are continued to be implemented

Awareness raising measures on anti-drug addiction are continued to be implemented in educational institutions. In this regard, police officers met with pupils in several schools in Baku.
According to the information given by the Public Security Department of Baku City Main Police Department, meetings were held in the secondary schools of 5 regions last month. The measures carried out under the joint plan with the Drug Enforcement Department covered the secondary schools № 218, 320, 227, 173 and 101 of the capital.
In the meetings organized under the name of “Say no to harmful habits and drug addiction”, detailed information and recommendations were given to the senior pupils about the risks caused by drugs and the rights, duties and responsibilities of non-adults were explained.

Employees of Nizami District Police Department, who focus on the organization of preventive work with non-adults, met with pupils again.
According to the information we received from the District Police Department, an event was held in the secondary school № 227 located in Nizami district on October 31 and in the secondary school № 242 on November 2. The awareness raising measure aimed at strengthening anti-drug addiction campaign among teenagers and youth was attended by the employees of Baku City Main Police Department, District Police Department and the Police Division № 24, the members of Police Veterans Council, the representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Chief of the Division of Public Security Department of Baku City Main Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Maryam Omarova, Chief Inspector of Nizami District Police Department, Police Captain Parvana Azizova, and Chief of the Police Division № 24, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jovdat Mammadov made speeches in the events. Students were advised to focus only on their education, school and about the necessity of having a healthy lifestyle in order to be able to participate in the future of the state. There was a broad discussion about avoiding harmful habits, aftereffects and diseases of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages, drugs in the human organism and ways to protect from them.
Psychologist Asmar Talibova, who participated in the events, informed the teenagers about the psychological and physical effects of the drug, as well as other harmful habits in the human organism.
In the end, questions of the students were answered.
