Police teaches: If we want to live safely...

Informational meetings were held in the schools of the capital on road-traffic safety, complications of harmful habits, and the questions of pupil and teaching staff were answered.
 
On November 14, a meeting was held at the secondary school No. 276 in Binagadi district within the framework of awareness-raising measures on road-traffic safety and prevention of accidents. The event was attended by Division Chief of the Public Security Department of Baku City Main Police Department Maryam Omarova, Chief Inspector Kamala Alakbarova, Division Chief of State Traffic Police Department Vagif Asadov and employees of Binagadi State Traffic Police Department. It was noted in the speeches that each traffic participant has the responsibility to reliably ensure traffic safety on the roads of the capital. Each of us is responsible for the protection of public safety - if a person who is native to us is driving a car fast, we must tell them that this is dangerous. If any person, as well as a driver becomes a participant of the pedestrian traffic, then a responsibility for the rights and obligations arises.

During the meeting, the pupils were shown a video clip about traffic rules.

On November 14, next event was held at the complete secondary school No. 206 in Buzovna settlement on the theme “Let’s say no drug addiction!”.
Representatives of Executive Power of central district, elders of Mardakan settlement and community representatives, Chief of Khazar District Police Department Azar Muradov made speeches in front of pupil and teaching staff of the school.
The police chief said that conducting awareness-raising activities is one of the priorities of the state program and noted that everyone who is or isn’t a drug user must be informed about the consequences of this tragedy and must be aware of the extent the disease can affect people to: “Therefore, everyone must be proactive in dealing with this problem which is a disaster of humanity”.

Last week, views were extensively exchanged on the importance of measures to combat the harmful habits, in particular the danger of being exposed to the influence of drugs at the secondary schools No. 145, 277 and 62 located in Nizami district and the circumstances that led to the spread of drug addiction among the younger generation were highlighted.
Deputy Chief of District Police Department Mushvig Aslanov, Chief of Police Division No. 24 Jovdat Mammadov, Chief of Police Department No. 25 Elmir Huseynov, Chief Inspector of Nizami District Police Department Parvana Azizova, Inspector Mehdi Seyidov and other guests made speeches in front of schoolchildren in the events held with the participation of the representatives of Commission on fight against drugs of District Executive Power and police veterans. It was emphasized that fight against drug addiction, prevention of illegal drug trafficking and drug abuse in Azerbaijan are always in the centre of attention of the relevant state bodies - the police.
