The MIA warned those who engaged in the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products once again

Regular actions by police authorities are being taken in the direction of preventing the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to juveniles. Officers of the Main Public Security Department and Sabail District Police Department held the next raid in the region on December 26. Several kiosks selling tobacco products to juveniles were identified during the action. Thus, it was detected that the resident of the capital Elshan Gurbanaliyev, the owner of the facility located at 25 Nigar Rafibayli Street sold the tobacco product to pupil.

According to the report from the Press Service of MIA during the raid, police detected that Murad Goyushov the seller of the kiosk located at 96 Nizami Street, Sabail district also sold tobacco products to juveniles.

Upon the confirmation of both facts the protocol was drawn up under the Article 455.2 (violation of the rules in trade of ethyl (food) alcohol, alcoholic beverages or tobacco products) of the Code of Administrative Offenses and they were fined in accordance with the legislation.
It should be noted that, in the case of any doubt by the seller that the buyer of cigarette and alcoholic beverages is underaged, he must stop the sale and demand customer’s identification document. Unless this document is provided, no any tobacco product or alcoholic beverages should be sold to that person.

The MIA warned those who engaged in the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products once again and noted that the sale of mentioned products to minors and juveniles is forbidden by the law. Regular raids and decisive actions in the capital, as well as in the regions by police officers against those committing illegal acts will be further continued.
