Tourist from Ireland: "Azeris can be proud of the fact that their homeland has a selfless, caring police"

The lost personal belongings of Irish tourist Horan Philip, who arrived in Baku to attend the game of the English Arsenal and Chelsea teams in the UEFA Europa League final match, were found and returned.

A citizen of the Republic of Ireland, Horan Philip, born in 1990, applied to the Narimanov District Police Department No. 18 and stated that he had forgotten his bag in an unknown place on the territory of Sabail and Nasimi District and asked for help in finding it.

Indicating in his address that he and his friends were traveling in a taxi, the number plate of which he does not remember, the guest noted that he had discovered the absence of a bag with a Nikon camera, an iPhone watch and an iPhone-X mobile phone in it when they arrived at the hotel where they accommodated on Khatai Avenue, Nasimi district, at night.

The Narimanov District Police Department and the Police Station No. 18 checked all the addresses that the tourists visited, and found the missing items in the taxi. These items were handed over by the taxi driver and returned to the owner.

The Irish guest thanked the police for their assistance, which he will never forget, for their operational service and dedication. The tourist, who noted how people are protected in Azerbaijan, said that it creates a great impression for Europeans about Azerbaijan and Baku.

Horan Philip, IT lecturer at the University of Abu Dhabi, spoke about how the police treated tourists from the first day of his arrival, and that security in the UEFA Europa League final match was at its highest level. He said that the behavior of the police, the uniform, the communication skills of the highest standards of service for many fans, were so high that only good things can be said about it.

“Today, I’m happy to return home and share with friends a pleasant memory of the Azerbaijani police for the rest of my life,” said Horan Philip, adding that what he saw and experienced in Baku, as well as the assistance rendered to him are worthy of praise: I heard and read a lot about Baku, but thanks to what I saw, I was once again convinced that I was not mistaken in your country. Azeris can be proud of the fact that their homeland has a selfless, caring police. ”
