A resident of the capital, A.Gasimov, who applied to the General Directorate of the Baku City Main Police Department on June 20, said that on October 15, 2018, 13,000 AZN was extorted from him.
According to the information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the operation carried out by the employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Baku City Main Police Department, a resident of Baku P. Kerimli was caught red-handed while receiving 1,400 AZN from A. Gasimov.
A criminal case was initiated against P. Kerimli under Article 182 (extortion) of the Criminal Code.
An investigation is underway in the Baku City Main Police Department.
