Dear colleagues!

The Azerbaijan police which has passed an honourable way since its establishment, has served worthily the Motherland and the people throughout the history, was formed and strengthened under the leadership of great leader Heydar Aliyev and became one of the main pillars of the state.

Today, owing to the invaluable attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the constantly developing internal affairs agencies stand out for their significant achievements in the fight against crime and its transnational forms, in ensuring order and security in the country. At the same time, they professionally perform the functions entrusted to them on protection the legitimate interests, rights and freedoms of citizens and invariably justify the faith and confidence of our people, while remaining committed to their official duties. The decisions taken by the esteemed President on the eve of this professional holiday on strengthening the social protection of personnel and presentation of state awards to a group of employees distinguished in the service are vivid evidence of the appreciation of the hard work of each of you.

I am confident that the internal affairs agencies, which are invariably guided by national and state interests, will continue to make a worthy contribution to the significant activities carried out by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on sustainable development of the country, to ensuring the safe life of citizens and preserving order.

I sincerely congratulate all the personnel, veterans and family members of the employees who died in the name of protecting our land and fulfilling their duties on the occasion of Police Day, I wish you good health, happiness and new successes in your difficult but very honourable service!
