Baku police held large-scale events

On August 28, the Baku City Main Police Department and reporting bodies, together with reporters, conducted a series of enhanced preventive and educational activities against administrative offenses to protect public order and ensure public safety.

The strengthened events covering all areas of the capital included television, news agencies, news sites, and film crews of reporters. Active work was carried out to prevent crimes, street trading, vagrancy and begging, situations that threaten road safety, in particular parking cars in the wrong places, on sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, etc.

As a result of operational and preventive measures, the whereabouts of 30 people put on the wanted list for various crimes were identified and their detention was conducted, 216 people involved in street trading were identified, 52 - in vagrancy and begging, as well as petty hooliganism, petty robbery, unsanitary conditions and other social negative abuse.

In addition, the protocols on administrative offenses were compiled under the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses against 1841 traffic offenders in general, including 937 drivers for gross violations of the rules. 16 people were identified who installed multi-level sound signals, sound silencers, flashing lights and other prohibited equipment, as well as made changes to the design of the car, 14 drivers who drive while intoxicated, 4 who commit auto-hooliganism, and 355 pedestrians crossing the road in the wrong place.

Appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the requirements of the law for each detected criminal act.

In the framework of operational preventive and educational activities, media representatives together with employees of the public security department and departments, post patrols, traffic police and other services conducted individual preventive interviews with citizens, aimed at increasing citizens' sense of responsibility and building legal awareness.

In the capital, appropriate measures are being continued to maintain control of the exemplary organization and conduct of service, the protection of the rule of law, and the legitimate interests of citizens from illegal actions.
