Abulfat Mammadov, a resident of Absheron district complained on 16.04.2020 and informed on the hijacking of a “BMW” car with state registration plate 99-RG-740 with power of attorney from the territory of district.

According to the information of MIA Press Service mentioned vehicle was found to move in Binagadi district on 17.04.2020 at around 03:30 based on received information. Driver of the vehicle was warned to stop by road-patrol service inspectors serving in the patrol car of the State Traffic Police Department of Binagadi District Police Department. However, the driver did not obey the warning and crash a “Fiat Doblo” car belonging to the post-patrol service and continued to drive towards the city.

The car being followed by the State Traffic Police Department of Binagadi District hit a “Hyundai Sonata” car with state registration plate 90-OH-051 moving in the Narimanov district. As a result of the collision, a “Hyundai” car hit and injured traffic police inspector serving on foot in that area. The hijacking car was detained in the “Montin” settlement, Narimanov district as a result of taken measures. It was found during inspection that car was hijacked by previously convicted Ramazan Aghabayov.

It should be noted that the driver tried to attack STPD police officers of Binagadi district using cold-arms while he was detained. However, he was immediately rendered harmless and handed over to the 43rd police station of Binagadi police department due to the alertness of the officers. During the investigation, it was found out that Ramazan Aghabayov was driving the car under the influence of drugs. It should be also noted that consistent law violations committed by Ramazan Aghabayov in the capital city were recorded by the Safe City Camera.
