An armed drug dealer was arrested

An armed drug dealer who grew narcotics-containing plants was detained in Bina settlement.
 
The Internal Affairs Bodies continue to take measures to find narcotics-containing plants grown by cultivation.

According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational search activities carried out by employees of the 3rd Police Division of the Khazar District Police Department based on the information they received, a citizen of the Russian Federation who is temporarily registered in Baku, Rauf Abdulrahmanov, was detained on suspicion of cultivating narcotic substances. When examining the yard of the house belonging to him in “Bollug” residential area of Bina settlement, 587 cannabis bushes weighing 97 kilograms 680 grams, grown by cultivation, were found and seized. In addition, 47 recently grown potted cannabis plants and 5 kilograms of 560 grams of dried marijuana were found and seized. Rauf Abdulrahmanov admitted that in early April, he planted narcotics-containing plants and took care of them. His goal was to sell cannabis after drying.

During the operational search activities, employees of the 3rd Police Division of the Khazar DPD also found firearms and ammunition hidden by Rauf Abdulrahmanov in the house where he lived. So, in his apartment 1 automatic Kalashnikov weapon with erased numbers, 3 cases and 38 bullets were found and withdrawn.

The materials collected on the fact in the 3rd Police Division were sent to the Investigation Division of the Khazar District Police Department. Operational-search and investigative actions in respect of Rauf Abdulrahmanov are continuing.
