As a result of operative-searching measures taken by the employees of the Department on the fighting against the drugs of Surakhani district police department, previously convicted Mahir Balagadirov, resident of Yeni Surakhani village, suspected of cultivating narcotic drugs, was detained.

According to press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the inspection of the courtyard of the house belonging to him, 87 cannabis bushes weighing 10 kg 950 grams and dried marijuana weighing 1 kg 500 grams, packed for sale, were found and seized. In his objective, Mahir Balagadirov admitted that he planted narcotic plants some time ago and took care of them in a special manner.
