Illicit traffic in narcotic drugs was prevented

As a result of the operation, employees of the Drug Control Unit of the Khatai District Police Department have withdrawn large amount of narcotic drugs from illegal traffic.
 
According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, employees of the Unit on the basis of received operational information detained a resident of the Absheron region Zahir Zeynalov and a resident of the Bilasuvar region  Sabuhi Huseynov, suspected of drug trafficking. During a personal search, 76.38 g of heroin, 21.51 g of marijuana were found and seized from Z. Zeynalov, and in his rented apartment in the Nizami district - 21 kg 7 g of dried marijuana, 5.06 g of heroin, 24.55 g of hashish and 13.70 g of opium. 459 g of opium and 754 g of hashish were found in the house rented by Sabuhi Huseynov in the capital. Also, during the investigation, 390 g of heroin was found and seized, which S. Huseynov hid under a road sign in the territory of Yeni Guneshli settlement to sell online.
Thus, as a result of the last operation, employees of the Khatai DPD prevented 471 g of heroin, 472.7 g of opium, 778.18 g of hashish and 23 kg 21 g of marijuana from illicit traffic. 
 
During the investigation, it was found that both persons, on behalf of a citizen of Iran, whose identity is not established by the investigation, known to them as “Khalaoglu Rasul”, hid in their homes narcotic drugs brought illegally to the territory of Azerbaijan. Then, Zahir Zeynalov and Sabuhi Huseynov, having hidden the drugs in different districts of the capital, had to contact the Iranian citizen via the Whatsapp and inform him about it. And he had to send clients the address of these places to pick up the drugs.
 
In connection with the facts, a criminal case was initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. The persons named were detained and turned over to the investigation. The necessary investigative and operational search activities on the criminal case are continuing.
