A carjacker was detained in Binagadi district.

The resident of the capital, living in Binagadi district addressed a complaint to the 5th Police Department of District police department and informed that “Tofaş” branded car, belonging to him was stolen by unknown person or people. As a result of operative-searching measures taken by officers of police department, Baku city resident, Zaur Fataliyev, suspected of committing mentioned incident and previously convicted, was detained. The car he jacked was identified by the police and returned to its owner. Zaur Fataliyev said in his statement that he did not hijack the mentioned vehicle, but to drive it.
 
The materials collected on the fact in the 5th police department in respect of detained person were sent for investigation to Investigation Department of Binagadi district police department, investigations are going on.
