Chief of the Baku Police Department, police Major-General İsmayılov Akbar Majid

He was born in 1963 in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia. In 1988, he graduated from Vladimir Special Secondary Police School, and in 1997, he graduated from the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He began to work in the internal affairs bodies from 1985 and held various responsible positions during this period.

He started to serve in the internal affairs bodies from 1985 and held various responsible positions in the operational service during this period. In particular, in 2005-2020, he served as the chief of the 16th PD of Baku city Narimanov DPD and the deputy chief on operational work of the same Department, the chief of Sumgayit CPD, the chief of Khatai and Yasamal DPDs, the chief of Ganja city MPD.

In November 2020, he was appointed chief of Baku City MPD.

He was awarded the medal “For Courage” by the order No. 1610, dated July 01, 2011 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the medal “For the Motherland” by the order No. 602 dated July 01, 2020 for his excellence in the fight against crime, protection of public order, ensuring public safety during mass events of international importance and the performance of special tasks.

By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 2, 2021, he was awarded the special rank of Major General of Police.

He is married and has 3 children.


Deputy chief of operations of the Baku city Main police Department, police Colonel Alakbarov Vugar Hidayat

He was born in 1975 in Babak region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He graduated from the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2004. He began to serve in the internal affairs bodies from 1998, and held various responsible positions during this period.

In 2004-2009, he was a teacher at the Department of “Theory of State and Law” at the Police Academy, in 2009-2014, he served as the chief of division, department at the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime, in 2014-2020, he served as the chief of the Organizational-Inspection Department of Baku city MPD.

In June 2020, he was appointed deputy chief of Baku City MPD, and in December, deputy chief on operational work.

He was awarded the medal “For Courage” by the order dated July 1, 2013 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his excellence in the fight against crime, protection of public order and performance of special tasks.

He is married and has 2 children.


Deputy chief of Baku city Main police Department, police Major-General Abdullayev Zaur Natig

Born in Baku in 1969. Graduated from Perm Higher Military School of Commanders in 1990, and the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2016. He has started serving in the Internal Affairs agencies in 1986 and held various important positions up to date.

He served in Internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the positions of chief of a platoon, troop, staff, commander of military unit, chief of a Special regiment of emergency response police in different years. He was appointed to the position of Deputy chief of Baku city MPD in January 2019.

By order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the order "For service to the Motherland" of the 3rd degree for his services in fighting against crime, protecting public order, ensuring public security during mass events of international importance and performing special tasks in 2015. He was awarded special rank of police Major-General in 2016. He is married and has two children.
