"I swear since the beginning of the police service following the Constitution and other laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to respect human rights and freedoms, strictly observe the legitimacy, honestly and faithfully perform my duties, to be disciplined, courageously to protect public order and safety, and if need be, do not regret my life."

Before assuming his/her duties, each police officer in a solemn ceremony at the meeting of the personnel, to the State flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan takes an oath, and only then proceeds with the execution of his/her duties.
