Supporting the initiative of ADA students Baku city Main Police Department began awareness campaign ''Say ''No'' to smoking, save future''.

The head of  public safety department of Baku city MPD on preventive works with minors, Police Lieutenant-Colonel Maryam Omarova noted that the future of each society  depended on the health, education and upbringing of its young generation.

Maryam Omarova told about harm of chemical substances especially of smoking addiction, its health effect and noted that the main goal of the campaign was elimination of after-effects of smoking and the skip of lessons among 13-17 –year- olds.
Students of ADA University Khadija Bayramli, Ismayil Aliyev and Sevda Mammadzade made presentation on the topic ''Say ''No'' to smoking, save future''. The importance of involving of juveniles in campaign’s extension was especially emphasized.
The presentations of police workers and students attracted the interest of pupils, and the students got the answer to their questions.

Firangiz Hasanova Principal of the school No 53 told about useful mutual cooperation of police bodies and educational organizations and noted that smoking addiction began from teenage years and became the habit for life. It results in serious after-effects. All members of society must be involved in the fight against this social disaster.
Baku city MPD and ADA University had already implemented common project. Last year State Police Department of Baku city MPD supported social and educational initiatives of ADA University’s students. Successfully implemented projects were honored with the award ''Haci Zeynalabdin Taghiyev'' that is the award for the social projects of university.
