People selling forged permissions were detained

06.04.2020

A person making forged permissions for a free movement and selling them for 20 AZN, as well as his “clients”, has been detained in Baku.

According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, despite the introduction of a special quarantine regime in the country to protect public health in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, there are still people who do not comply with the rules.

Because of another event conducted by police officers, people who forged and sold permissions allowing to leave the place of residence were detained, and thus violating the quarantine rules.

During the investigation, it was found that the owner of Megata LLC, a resident of Imishli Region, Mehman Imanov, in his office in the Nizami district of the capital, printed out false permissions for free movement on the territory of Baku. He sold permissions for 20 AZN to Rahib Gurbanov, a resident of the capital, and Arzuman Abdullayev, a resident of the Gadabay Region. All three were arrested by the police, and confessed to the crime.

Currently, works are continuing to bring detained citizens to administrative responsibility under Article 211 (violation of anti-epidemic, sanitary-hygienic and quarantine regimes) of the Code on Administrative Offences of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again asks citizens to observe the special quarantine regime introduced to protect public health in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
