State Traffic Police Department of Baku city Main Police Office (BCMPO) addressed the drivers with regard to Formula-1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Head of Department of the BCMPO, Police Colonel Vagif Asadov said that last finishing works are carried out as there are a few days left before race. Painting barriers from "Azneft" square, Neftchilar avenue to the Azadlig square and executing other fundamental works for this purpose cause artificial congestion as it affects the traffic intensity of automobiles. In this regard, State Traffic Police Department of Baku city recommends drivers moving to the center of the capital from the south to drive in the direction of Yasamal district from 14th km of Baku-Salyan highway by the 3rd outer ring road, or in the direction of Badamdar settlement from 20th area circuit through the way of Daghustu Park, at the same time, in the direction of Mehdi Huseyn, Teymur Elchin streets and Parlament avenue through Bayil settlement, Mikayil Huseynov street, as an alternative way in order to prevent the artificial congestion. Relating to this, State Traffic Police Department of Baku city asks drivers to prefer moving in the directions shown by the traffic police acting as a regulator on the area.
 
V.Asadov said that the directions from the point of “Dalgha Plaza” and Flag square, as well as from the 20th area and Water Sports Palace of Baku are changed related to the mentioned factors. Drivers moving on these directions should remember that from 14th km of Baku-Salyan highway, at the same time, from 20th area circuit, Water Sports Palace of Baku, Flag square and “Dalgha Plaza” the routes have been changed. In general, it is recommended the drivers to use automobiles less relating to the Formula-1 on the area known as Baku city circuit - “Azneft” square, Neftchilar, Bulbul avenues, Azadlig square, Pushkin, Khagani, Zarifa Aliyeva, Rasul Rza, Aziz Aliyev streets, Gosha Gala Gate, Ganjlar square, Istiglaliyyat, Niyazi streets, and other roads crossing with the said streets and avenues in order not to cause congestion due to the last finishing works.
