A person who organized the sale of narcotic drugs was detained in the Nasimi district. As a result of the operational measures carried out by the district police officers, Elnur Alakbarov, who had prior criminal convictions and was involved in the drug sale, was detained. During the inspection, a total of 3 kilograms of heroin and opium, considered to be the potent narcotic substances, were found in his bag.
The investigation had shown that Elnur Alakbarov used social media to contact an Iranian citizen, known as Behzat, whose identity is to be ascertained by the investigation, with intention to sell drugs, transported by the mentioned person to the territory of the country in different ways.
Criminal case was initiated by the Nasimi District Police Department under the relevant article of the Criminal Code. Elnur Alakbarov was remanded in custody. Police officers continue measures to combat drug trafficking in the territory of Nasimi district.
