The 10th European championship on Kempo was held in Bucharest, Romania on October 24-29. About 600 athletes from 22 countries competed in the championship. Athletes of Azerbaijan Kempo Federation led by Rauf Ibrahimov, the official representative of International Kempo Federation, represented our homeland with 8 members. In the three-day competition, athletes competed in Kempo Submission Gi, Kempo Full and Kempo Semi. According to the results, Guliyev Valeh Iltifat won the first place winning all his opponents in the weight category of +95 kg in Kempo Full. Galandarov Vusal Gahraman, the inspector of Vehicle Investigation Division of the State Traffic Police Department of the MPD of Baku city, the senior lieutenant won the second place in the weight category of -95 kg in Kempo Semi. Huseynov Nijat won the second place in the weight category of 75 kg in Kempo Semi, Huseynov Shamsi Amir the third place in the weight category of 70 kg in Kempo Semi and two athletes – Mammadzada Khayal Novruz and Alakbarov Mahir Nizami the third place in the weight category of 75 kg and 65 kg accordingly in Kempo Submission. 
 

Overall, the Azerbaijani team was ranked 3rd in this tournament among 22 countries according to the points.
