A meeting with co-rapporteurs of the PACE was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, met with co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Jan Liddell-Grenger and Mrs. Liz Kristoffersen, on June 5
Minister V. Eyvazov spoke about the presence of close and business cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Council of Europe and also emphasized that within the framework of these relations, measures were taken to ensure human rights and freedoms are of particular importance
It has been stated that the measures were taken in the field of further enlarging the professionalism of the employees of the internal affairs bodies and being informed about international experience is carried out in a systematic manner.
It was emphasized that the temporary detention places of the police authorities are organized in accordance with modern standards and essential conditions are generated for the observants from the government and non-governmental organizations to conduct free and unrestricted monitoring in the temporary detention places.
Co-rapporteurs expressed their gratitude to Mr. Vilayat Eyvazov for the comprehensive information he provided on the measures were taken in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms.
Several other issues were also discussed at the meeting and the Minister of Internal Affairs answered in detail the questions of the guests.
