FOR A SOCIETY WITHOUT DRUG ADDICTION

In the framework of measures against drug addiction and counternarcotic actions, as a result of operative search activities taken by the employees of Drug Enforcement Administration of Baku city Main Police Division in M.A.Rasulzade settlement, Binagadi district on March 9, outlawed cured marijuana packed in two boxes with total weight of 7,37 grams was found and taken from the resident of Gazakh region, born in 1966, previously convicted Jeyhun Khanbaba Valiyev.  

Besides, during examining the vehicle “VAZ-2107” of drug trafficking suspect cured marijuana with total weight of 8 kilograms 10 grams was discovered. 

Case materials were delivered to the Investigation Department of Judicial Scrutiny and Inquest Department of Baku city Main Police Division, the investigation is ongoing. 

Taking a stand in the direction of exposure of suspects in drug trafficking, employees of 14th PD of Sabunchu DPO DED of the capital city found and took 402 gram of cured marijuana from the resident of Baku city, born in 1974, previously convicted Ilgar Kamil Guliyev, task force of Nizami DPO DED and 24th PD 1,80 gram of cured marijuana from the resident of Baku city, born in 1958 Huseynagha Allahverdi Mammadov. During the measures related to the suspect selling drug to H.Mammadov previously convicted Elchin Sadig Mammadhasanov, born in 1966 was determined and arrested. 15 kilograms 65,3 grams of marijuana was discovered in 2 separate drug containers and additional 16 match-boxes from hiding-place in his apartment. 

In order to prevent drug trafficking metropolitan police conducts systematic work. There is a comprehensive approach to this problem. Police carrying out educational activities in the educational centers together with state and non-governmental organizations uses all possible means in order to call the persons involved in drug offense to account and do not allow expansion of drug addiction as a problem of a society. Effective control against the persons aimed at making a profit by this way gives its concrete results. Analysis and generalizations show that all police divisions and departments of the capital city are mobilized to fight for a society without drug addiction.

As a continuation of this fight Nasimi police took another successful operational measure. Thus, employees of Nasimi DPO CID and 19th PD discovered 0,260 grams of heroin from the resident of the capital city, born in 1975, previously convicted Mahir Nazir Aghabayov and 4,57 grams of hashish from the resident of Khirdalan city, born in 1987, previously convicted Novruz Shahin Hasanov. Task force of Yasamal DPO DED against drug trafficking discovered 455 grams of marijuana from the resident of Sabirabad region, born in 1967, previously convicted Rahim Adil Farzaliyev and Narimanov DPO DED 1 kilograms 220 grams of heroin from the resident of Baku city, born in 1983, Jabbar Ganjamali Ganjamaliyev considering him suspicious in drug trafficking.

In the framework of the measures of metropolitan police against drug trafficking criminal proceeding have been opened; investigation related to suspects is ongoing. Exposed persons were indicted properly and preventive measures of remand in custody were determined.
