Officers of Police Station 21 of the Nasimi District Police Department have detained two persons involved in apartment thefts in the capital.

According to the Press Service of the MIA, as a result of the operation, there have been arrested previously convicted resident of the capital Tofig Jafarov and resident of the Sabirabad Region Peyman Guliyev. The investigation has revealed that both individuals stole money and jewellery from several capital apartments. During the inspection of the apartments that they rented in the capital, a part of the stolen items has been discovered and seized as material evidence.

The materials collected at Police Station 21 in connection with the fact regarding the detainee have been sent to the Investigation Department of the Nasimi District Police Department.

A criminal case has been instituted against T.Jafarov and P.Guliyev under the relevant article of the Criminal Code; operational search measures are ongoing. It is not ruled out that these persons committed other similar crimes in the capital. Citizens affected by their actions can report this to local police departments, stations and units, as well as to the Call Center of the MIA “102”.
